I Have a Hearing and My Medications Give Me Side Effects....

March 30, 2020

I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV. I will never tell you not to take your meds. However, you do need to be alert and sharp, or as is reasonably possible so, on the day of your Hearing.

If your medication's side effects cause you to be groggy, unfocused or woozy to name a few, then you'll have to be the one to decide perhaps to adjust the time you take your medication, with respect to the time of your Hearing. You'll need to have a conversation with your doctor about that.

You certainly don't want to go without medication for your impairment. At your Hearing, you'll need to be on point though. The goal for you is to be able to give your best and accurate testimony.
